My Expertise

Dr. Hope C. Rias is Visit. Asst. Prof. of History at Siena College.

She is a scholar of school history, desegregation, and teacher education. Teaching an anti-racist curriculum is her central focus.

She is a native of St Louis, Missouri where she attended public schools. She received a B.A. degree from Spelman College and a Ph.D. from Indiana University.
